There are different kinds of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.
The entire mouth is analyzed and a decision is made about which teeth will need to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular functionality and look return and one simply continues as usual. Frequently implants can be utilized to further support the dentures.
It is important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you have the ability to eat, your self-esteem in social situations, as well as your self-esteem.
Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:
- All Teeth missing in the same arch
- Restore chewing ability
- Restore a natural looking smile
- Economical alternative to other procedures
An upper complete denture will often feel better than a lower full denture. In order to considerably improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we regularly recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly improve comfort. Sometimes, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for numerous years.
