Dentures (Dental)

There are different kinds of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is analyzed and a determination is made regarding which teeth will need to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal capability and look return and one simply continues as usual. Frequently implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the type of food you are able to eat, your self-confidence in social circumstances, as well as your self-esteem.

Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the very same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper complete denture will usually feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to drastically improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we frequently recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially enhance comfort. Often, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has been in use for numerous years.
