The Benefits Of Using Single Visit Crowns Are:

  • It is time-saving. It permits you to have your dental crown put in place in just one dental visit.

  • Its material is biocompatible. Same day crowns use ceramic which copies the look of your natural teeth thus making it aesthetically pleasing. It does not cause temperature sensitivity which holds true in the case of dental crowns made from metals.

  • It is durable. Same day crowns have the same durability as those made from gold materials.

  • It is more precise. The impression made from this brand-new innovation is more precise compared to traditional impressions.

  • Taking dental impression is more comfortable. Same day crowns use intraoral camera and CAD to take the impression of the tooth while standard dental impression is done using sodium alignate.

The only disadvantage of a same day crown is that not all patients are candidates for this procedure. Clients with extensive tooth damage that has reached the gum line needs a standard crown instead of a same day crown. Also, the damage in the front tooth requires a laboratory-manufactured crown because they are thoroughly made than same day crowns.

If you are interested with this sort of procedure or you have further questions or concerns regarding same day crowns, call us today.

Today We Will Be Reviewing:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is essential when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and identify issues early). Often deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also trigger the nerve to be damaged to the point it needs root canal treatment. As soon as this happens, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it should be treated, and can not recover by itself. It can even deteriorate the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and may be extremely painful. Symptoms that the pulp has ended up being infected might consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, discomfort, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Often, however, no symptoms appear and the person is unaware of any issue till a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and decontaminate the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to extract the tooth. As soon as the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any additional infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is suggested for recovering a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
