Single Visit Crowns

Crowns have long been an reliable restorative dentistry solution for dentists to take advantage of, but the standard crown process takes two to three visits to finish.

At our practice, though, our dental practitioners and our team can restore broken down teeth in simply a single visit with same-day crowns. Same day crowns use sophisticated technology to make the crown preparation process much easier, while the same day crown device actually mills restorations itself using the information we've already gathered to produce the tailor-made restoration you need.

The milling process takes about an hour to finish and can be done while you rest comfortably in our office.

Our restorative dentistry team is ready to rejuvenate your smile and transform your quality of life. Using any of these restorative dentistry services alone or in combination with each other or another service, we are ready to help you to achieve maximum dental health. Please make an appointment to our office today.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Today's Subject Will Be:

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, sometimes extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the issue. If neglected and required to extremes, surgery may be required to fix a severely damaged joint.
