Same Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you have to get a dental crown? Or will you quickly be requiring a dental treatment that will cause you to need a dental crown? If so, you might be beginning to fear the time you will need to spend at the dental practitioner's office. At our dental practice, we provide a fantastic time-saving option for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have professional and highly-trained dentists on staff. At our dental practice we incorporate state-of-the-art technology and procedures to offer our clients with the very best restorative, preventive, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For clients who have to get dental crowns, we are very pleased to be able to offer same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is usually made of porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all four sides to help reinforce the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top part of a dental implant, or to prevent a damaged tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to reinforce a tooth after a root canal treatment.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a significantly tarnished tooth that needs to be brought back to its initial, attractive appearance.

Generally getting a dental crown is a lengthy procedure. The dentist will have to take impressions, supply you with a short-term crown, await the crown to be returned from a lab, and after that have you go back to the office so that it can be permanently connected. Today at our practice clients can get same day crowns in about two hours.

Our same day crowns are produced in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM technology.

CAD-CAM means "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take pictures which are then computer-analyzed and used to produce a crown.

This crown is actually milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth precisely and eliminate any need to send impressions or images to an outside lab.

All this is done while you wait, eliminating the need to return for a second visit.

You also will not need to get a short-term crown, given that our long-term crown will be instantly available to you.

If you want to meet our dentist to learn more about same day crowns or to get a same day crown, call our office.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Porcelain Tooth Veneers

Veneers are a very thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a gorgeous and appealing smile.

Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like a lot of dental restorations, veneers might one day need replacement; however, they are still very durable and will last many years, giving you a long lasting, gorgeous smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental treatment in which a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are generally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique typically involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is typically referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy generally involves 2 appointments because the veneers will be produced at a dental lab. At the very first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory produced veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is normally less unpleasant. Veneers are not suggested for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care instructions for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your new and lovely veneers.
