Why Choose Single Day Crowns?

There are many advantages of one day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, saving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, which removes significant potential pain and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No standard impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new technology restores your teeth to their natural durability, appeal, and function and carefully match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay stunning for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Since they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury consisting of silver fillings and tougher because of bonding technology.

Today Were Talking About:

Bridges (Dental)

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) appliance and is an exceptional way to replace missing teeth.

There are a number of kinds of bridges. We will discuss the best options for your specific case. The "traditional bridge" is the most popular type and is typically made of porcelain fused to metal. These fixed bridges are most popular because they resemble your natural teeth. This type of bridge includes two crowns that go over 2 anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) and are connected on either side of the artificial teeth (pontics), filling the gap developed by one or more missing teeth.

Dental bridges are highly durable and will last years with proper home care; however, they may need to be replaced or re-cemented due to normal wear.

Reasons For Getting A Fixed Bridge:

  • Restore chewing and speaking capability.

  • Maintain facial shape.

  • Fill space of missing teeth.

  • Prevent remaining teeth from drifting out of position.

  • Upgrade from a detachable partial denture to a permanent dental appliance.

  • Restore your smile.

Exactly what does getting a Fixed Bridge involve?

Getting a bridge usually requires 2 or more visits. While the teeth are numb, the two anchoring teeth are prepared by removing a portion of enamel to enable a crown. Next, a highly accurate impression (mold) is made which will be sent to a dental lab where the bridge will be made. In addition, a temporary bridge will be made and worn for multiple weeks till your next visit.

At the second visit, your permanent bridge will be thoroughly checked, adjusted, and cemented to accomplish a correct fit and comfortable bite.

You will receive care guidelines at the conclusion of your treatment. Correct brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new permanent bridge.

Why Consider Dental Bridges?

This is an option for filling the area developed by a missing tooth. It is formed to appear like the missing tooth, and it takes its place in the mouth. The sides of a bridge uses the two surrounding teeth for assistance, hence the name. A bridge replaces the missing tooth, both functionally and cosmetically. Bridge work is as much an art as it is an precise science. The materials used might be gold alloys, porcelain bonded to metal alloy, or all ceramic material. The option of material depends on requirements for strength, wear, and/or esthetics.

It is very important that a missing tooth be replaced as quickly as possible for a number of reasons. If not treated the teeth surrounding the space start to shift inward, producing a whole chain reaction of bad things. Teeth utilize their neighbors for support, and, with one missing, they start to "fall." As this intensifies the bite changes in reaction to the pressure. This can eventually result in problems with the whole jaw, e.g. TMJ. The surrounding teeth degrade and it is just a matter of time before they, too, are lost. Gum disease becomes a serious problem, with the difficulty of treatment enhancing as the neglect continues.
