If you have a fractured or damaged tooth, are experiencing discomfort when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperatures, or want to remove unattractive metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a great alternative for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface of the affected tooth, adding durability and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we offer on a case by case basis to clients who would gain from the treatment. They enable clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This eliminates the need to have a temporary crown placed and then another visit arranged for the positioning of the final crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our brand-new technology that scans the mouth to obtain the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are extremely strong and long lasting and constructed out of the highest quality porcelain available. In some cases, a gold crown might be advised for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clinch your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the expense may differ between the two and you might want to talk about your budget too with the your dental practitioner. Your dental practitioner will go over with you the kinds of crowns available and give you a recommendation based on your certain situation.

Call us to schedule a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint may be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the issue. If untreated and taken to extremes, surgery might be required to repair a terribly damaged joint.
