If you have a missing tooth or teeth, you know the humiliation and pain this can cause. You have most likely been examining methods you can restore your smile and excellent bite. We think you will be really interested to know that at our practice, you are able to receive same day crowns! It is a comfortable one-day procedure!

Our entire dental practice is cutting edge, except for our client care and concern which is standard. We understand the pain missing teeth can cause patients, and because of that we are really pleased to be able to offer clients with same day crowns.

Dental crowns are used to reinforce a tooth, and return it to its original function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the adjacent teeth, so they can not be spotted by others as being anything less than a long-term tooth. With a dental crown, you have the ability to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never be interrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it is there in your mouth.

Same day crowns are a really exciting offering of our practice. We have the ability to have you with a gorgeous brand-new smile in just one day. Our office has cutting edge equipment that allows dental practitioners to offer you with crowns in simply a small fraction of the time that was required before.

CAD/CAM technology is what makes this exciting development possible. The acronym means computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We have the ability to use this innovation in our system. This system is used to restore teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an extra appointment to our practice, a week or so later. We're sure you have a lot more amazing things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dental practitioner's chair any longer than you need to!

Using our new system, we scan the prepared tooth in your mouth or from an impression, and after that send the info to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the specific specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. When the crown is crated, we position it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your new tooth to a stunning and natural-looking luster. This innovation can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you need a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or business event, this process might indeed be ideal for you. If you have an interest in learning more about this procedure, call us today for a visit.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Topic Is:

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint may be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the issue. If untreated and required to extremes, surgery may be required to repair a badly damaged joint.
