How Can Same Day Crowns Benefit Me?

With this new technology it allows dental practitioners to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can produce natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make multiple trips to the dentist's office to be measured and fitted with temporary restorations - you can enjoy a dazzling, natural looking, and resilient option for your missing or broken teeth today.

Initially, your dental practitioner will meet with you to go over the information of the treatment. Throughout the treatment, the dentist will put a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special camera to take an image of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the image serves as a map to create your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to develop your restoration piece from ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth tougher and more lovely - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the state-of-the-art ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a broad range of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

The Topic For Today Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Finding problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a large format for easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also allows us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
