Same Day Crowns

Same day crown technology plays an essential function in our practice. This amazing innovation in chair side dentistry gives us the tools to create, produce, and set crowns, inlays and onlays in a single visit.

The Same Day Crown Difference

The standard approach to a crown or inlay and onlay frequently required a return appointment after the client waited (with a short-term restoration in the tooth) for about 2 weeks while the restoration was produced in a separate laboratory. Same day crown CAD/CAM technology eliminates the wait!

How Do Same Day Crowns Work?

Same day crowns utilize a unique camera to take an accurate picture of the damaged tooth. This optical impression is moved and displayed on a color computer screen, where the dental practitioner uses CAD (computer-aided design) software to develop the restoration.

Then CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) takes over and automatically mills the restoration while the patient waits. Finally, the new restoration is bonded in place.

The whole procedure takes about one hour, and there are no bothersome temporaries or 2nd visit needed!

Proven Technology

With two decades of clinical research and more than 20 million restorations performed worldwide, same day crowns have proven to be a an reliable, safe and hassle-free technology that we are delighted to offer to our clients.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

The Topic For Today Will Be:

Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for many adult dental cleanings. These devices utilize ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners produce tiny bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microbes and getting rid of plaque and tartar at the same time. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the gum pockets to help preserve optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can remove tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, without any damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling often uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely noticeable. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with vulnerable teeth.

  • The cleaning process is faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfortable.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and after that polished.
