At our dental practice we do same day crowns. You may be asking, what are same day crowns and exactly what can it provide for me?

It is a 3D system that lets us make porcelain crowns and inlays all in one appointment. We have now been using this innovation for multiple years and like it more than ever.

Same day crowns are an in-surgery computer system that enables us to replace broken or missing tooth structures with a ceramic product that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible.

This is done while you are in the practice, in simply one visit. All ceramic porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers and crowns that look and feel like natural teeth can be made and fitted in a single appointment, generally in about an hour.

So exactly what is the treatment?

We scan the opposite teeth and the method the teeth bite together first. We eliminate the old filling, and decay and any thin weak tooth material and scan the readied tooth.

After this we quit working in the mouth and begin working on the computer.

Everybody likes seeing the pictures of their teeth and the creating of their brand-new tooth. We make 3D design and this info is sent to the milling unit.

Everyone asks if this is like 3D printing and yes it is, but the tooth is not built up layer by layer, it is cut from a block in the device, which is much more durable.

The block is then precisely carved to produce your brand-new restoration, which is wonderful.

At last, the custom made crown restoration bonded perfectly into the tooth, enhancing and sealing it at the same time and after that we tidy up!

We need to make sure that you can bite correctly, that its smooth and that you can floss.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

Today's Topic Is About:

Ultra-Sonic Cleanings

We use ultrasonic scalers for the majority of adult dental cleanings. These devices utilize ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that trigger gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners create microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microorganisms and eliminating plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help maintain optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can get rid of tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling commonly uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning appropriate to those with delicate teeth.

  • The cleaning procedure is quicker than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have actually been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and after that polished.
