Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This cutting edge technology enables your dentist to take accurate images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns offer unparalleled convenience, value, and precision to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure includes three basic steps. 1st, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take extremely accurate images of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, develops your custom-fitted crown. From there, your dentist will send out the design to their in-office precision milling device which develops the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dentist will put it on your tooth.

What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to create our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer incomparable strength, resilience, chip and stain resistance, and natural beauty.

Precision-fitted same day crowns need less tooth preparation and protect more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns require two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a magnificently fixed tooth.

You can avoid the inconvenience and potential risks associated with ill-fitting short-term crowns.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of many patients, there are multiple ways to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth lightening system that will whiten teeth dramatically. Because tooth whitening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize a number of methods: custom made tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three various strengths of gel may be used, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for severely stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and practical whitening process. The visit is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays need to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
