Single Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you need to get a dental crown? Or will you soon be needing a dental procedure that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you may be beginning to fear the time you will have to spend at the dentist's office. At our dental practice, we offer a excellent time-saving option for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have expert and highly-trained dentists on staff. At our dental practice we incorporate cutting edge innovations and procedures to provide our patients with the best restorative, precautionary, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For clients who have to get dental crowns, we are really delighted to be able to offer same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 different names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is usually made from porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all four sides to help reinforce the tooth and improve its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a damaged tooth from ending up being weaker. Crowns can also be used to strengthen a tooth after a root canal procedure.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a seriously discolored tooth that needs to be brought back to its original, attractive look.

Usually getting a dental crown is a lengthy procedure. The dental practitioner will have to take impressions, provide you with a short-term crown, wait for the crown to be returned from a lab, and after that have you go back to the office so that it can be permanently attached. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about 2 hours.

Our same day crowns are developed in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM innovation.

CAD-CAM stands for "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take pictures which are then computer-analyzed and used to develop a crown.

This crown is actually milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth precisely and remove any need to send impressions or images to an outside laboratory.

All this is done while you wait, removing the need to return for a second visit.

You also will not have to get a temporary crown, given that our permanent crown will be immediately available to you.

If you wish to meet our dental practitioner to get more information about same day crowns or to get a same day crown, call our practice.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. Today's Topic Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Identifying issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mainly utilized to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Big on-screen X-rays make patient communication more efficient. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the medical professional to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a large format for easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also allows us to send out and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
