Why Choose One Day Dental Crowns?

There are lots of advantages of one day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a short-term crown, which removes significant potential pain and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No conventional impressions which means there is no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function and closely match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is stronger than the traditional method of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain gorgeous for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Since they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more durable than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury including silver fillings and tougher because of bonding technology.

If you have anymore questions about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please feel free to call our office today. We will address any concerns you have and you can make an appointment to talk to our dental practitioner in person.

Today's Topic Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of a lot of patients, there are numerous methods to lighten teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth whitening system that will whiten teeth significantly. Since tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple techniques: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of daily use. 3 different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the greater the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is recommended for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take numerous months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and hassle-free whitening procedure. The appointment is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients enjoy this treatment due to the fact that it is so easy and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays need to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
