If you have a missing tooth or teeth, you know the embarrassment and pain this can cause. You have most likely been examining ways you can restore your smile and excellent bite. We believe you will be really interested to know that at our practice, you are able to receive same day crowns! It is a comfortable one-day treatment!

Our whole dental practice is cutting edge, except for our patient care and issue which is standard. We know the pain missing teeth can cause patients, and for that reason we are extremely delighted to be able to supply patients with same day crowns.

Dental crowns are used to enhance a tooth, and return it to its original function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the surrounding teeth, so they can not be identified by others as being anything less than a permanent tooth. With a dental crown, you are able to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never be disrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it is there in your mouth.

Same day crowns are a very interesting offering of our practice. We have the ability to have you with a stunning brand-new smile in simply one day. Our office has cutting edge equipment that allows dentists to offer you with crowns in just a little fraction of the time that was needed in the past.

CAD/CAM technology is exactly what makes this exciting development possible. The acronym stands for computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We have the ability to use this innovation in our system. This system is used to fix teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an additional visit to our practice, a week or so later. We're sure you have a lot more interesting things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dental practitioner's chair any longer than you need to!

Using our new system, we scan the prepared tooth in your mouth or from an impression, and then send the information to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the precise specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. As soon as the crown is crated, we put it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your new tooth to a beautiful and natural-looking radiance. This innovation can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you require a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or company event, this process may indeed be perfect for you. If you are interested in finding out more about this process, contact us today for a visit.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full scope of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today's Subject Is:

Temporal Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If unattended and required to extremes, surgery may be required to repair a terribly damaged joint.
