Single Visit Dental Crowns Near You

Needing any sort of dental work completed can seem like a chore, however it is necessary to follow up on when it comes to maintaining your oral health. Some individuals may postpone visiting their dental practitioner or having particular dental treatments completed simply because they believe that the experience might use up too much of their time. When it comes to same day dental crowns that is simply not the case, as we can provide our patients with same day dental crowns should they need it.

Even though dental crowns are considered along with other treatments that fall under the cosmetic dentistry category, they can help to vastly enhance any individual's oral health. Dental crowns are mostly used to restore the size, shape, and function of a tooth. Most typically, dental crowns are used following a root canal therapy procedure wherein a part of the tooth mass is eliminated in order to get rid of decayed portions of the tooth. A dental crown is then used to help restore what parts of the tooth were lost so that it can function as it once did, restoring the oral well being of the client.

Sometimes, dental crowns take time to process and are crafted in a lab while the client uses a temporary crown in its stead. Now we can offer clients with same day dental crowns! Instead of having to visit us several times before restoring your tooth, we can offer you with a crown the very same day that you come in to get one fitted.

If you need a dental crown, you will not have to wait and set up several appointments. Our staff and dentists will offer you with all the services that you require in a single appointment to work around your busy schedule. Do not let your dental health go forgotten because you don't have the time. If you want to learn more about same day dental crowns, call us and arrange an appointment today.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of a lot of clients, there are a number of methods to lighten teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth whitening system that will whiten teeth significantly. Because tooth whitening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of techniques: custom made tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab produces into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel may be used, however, the higher the strength, the higher the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is recommended for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and hassle-free whitening procedure. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment because it is so simple and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays should be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
