Exactly What Is A Dental Crown?

A crown is a cap made to cover a tooth with the purpose of restoring it to its natural shapes and size or to enhance its look. To prepare for the crown, dental practitioners drill to remove the decayed section as well as form the tooth to prepare for the crown for that portion which lies around and above the gum line.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of a lot of patients, there are numerous methods to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth lightening system that will bleach teeth dramatically. Since tooth lightening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous approaches: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of day-to-day use. 3 various strengths of gel may be used, however, the higher the strength, the higher the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is advised for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take a number of months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and convenient bleaching procedure. The visit is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
