Temporary crowns and second visits for crowns are now usually unnecessary thanks to the same day crown technology. We provide this amazing one-visit crown technology in our office, adding higher convenience to the procedure of getting a crown. The waiting time between your procedure and when you get your long-term crown is eliminated.

The same day crown technology is an instrument that enables ceramic restorations (crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays) to be carried out in one visit instead of 2. The computer coordinates with a digital camera permitting the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes over and mills your custom crown right away so that we can cement your brand-new crown that very same day. The outcomes we see are remarkable. With the same day crowns, the fit, strength, and aesthetics of the ceramic restorations are excellent.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full range of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

The Topic Of The Day Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are numerous ways to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth whitening system that will lighten teeth dramatically. Because tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize multiple methods: custom made tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire process takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is recommended for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take a number of months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and practical whitening process. The visit is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients enjoy this treatment since it is so easy and fast!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays need to be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
