If you have a fractured or broken tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or wish to get rid of unattractive metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a good option for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface area of the affected tooth, adding sturdiness and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are a choice that we offer on a case by case basis to patients who would benefit from the procedure. They allow clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their final dental crown in place that same day. This eliminates the need to have a short-term crown placed and then another check-up arranged for the positioning of the final crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new innovation that scans the mouth to get the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are extremely strong and resilient and made out of the highest quality porcelain available. In many cases, a gold crown might be suggested for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clinch your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may vary between the two and you might want to discuss your budget plan as well with the your dentist. Your dental practitioner will go over with you the types of crowns available and offer you a recommendation based upon your certain situation.

Call us to arrange a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

TMJ (Temporal-Mandibular Joint)

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be brought on by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the issue. If neglected and required to extremes, surgery might be needed to fix a terribly damaged joint.
