Why Are These Crowns Called Same Day Crowns?
This state-of-the-art technology permits your dentist to take accurate images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns provide unparalleled convenience, value, and precision to our patients.
How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?
The same day crown process consists of 3 basic steps. 1st, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take extremely accurate pictures of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Second, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, designs your custom-fitted crown. 3rd, your dentist will send out the design to their in-office precision milling machine which produces the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will place it on your tooth.
What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?
We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to develop our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide unparalleled toughness, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural charm.
Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and maintain more of your tooth structure.
Conventional crowns require two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a perfectly restored tooth.
You can prevent the inconvenience and possible threats related to uncomfortable temporary crowns.
