Why Are These Crowns Called Same Day Crowns?

This state-of-the-art technology permits your dentist to take accurate images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and put a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns provide unparalleled convenience, value, and precision to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process consists of 3 basic steps. 1st, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take extremely accurate pictures of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Second, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, designs your custom-fitted crown. 3rd, your dentist will send out the design to their in-office precision milling machine which produces the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for additional strength and esthetics, your dental practitioner will place it on your tooth.

What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to develop our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide unparalleled toughness, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural charm.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and maintain more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns require two office visits. With same day crowns, you can come into our dentist's office for a visit and leave with a perfectly restored tooth.

You can prevent the inconvenience and possible threats related to uncomfortable temporary crowns.

Today Were Discussing:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific scenarios where a tooth has actually been damaged or become stained. These are generally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive methods rather than through a more pricey dental procedure.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the positioning of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a shiny finish as a last step.
