What's So Special About Single Visit Dental Crowns?

In a normal dental practice, getting dental crowns is a long and typically an uncomfortable process that can take numerous weeks to finish. However, our practice uses same day crown technology, which allows us to scan, design, and mill gorgeous tooth-colored crowns in one day.

Envision coming into our dental office to receive a crown and leaving the same day with a strong, long lasting, and aesthetically pleasing crown already in place. Call us today to find out more!

The Same Day Crown Process

Throughout your visit, you and your dentist will go over the details of the treatment and your dentist will answer any questions you might have. Your dentist will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to develop your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

The Conversation For Today Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Finding problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Big on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the physician to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a large format for easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent developing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
