Can Same Day Crowns Benefit Me?

With this new innovation it permits dentists to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can make natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers right here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous appointments to the dentist's office to be measured and fitted with short-term restorations - you can enjoy a brilliant, natural looking, and long lasting option for your missing or broken teeth today.

Initially, your dental practitioner will consult with you to discuss the details of the treatment. Throughout the procedure, the dentist will put a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special camera to take an image of your tooth.

Using the new software, the image functions as a map to design your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to create your restoration piece from ceramic.

Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth stronger and more gorgeous - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the top-quality ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a treatment where we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has actually been damaged or ended up being stained. These are normally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive methods instead of through a more costly dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the positioning of the tooth, close spaces in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a shiny finish as a last step.
