Why Choose One Day Dental Crowns?

There are many advantages of single day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, saving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, which removes significant potential discomfort and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions which means there is no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function and carefully match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is stronger than the traditional technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain beautiful for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury including silver fillings and stronger because of bonding innovation.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is essential when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and discover issues early). Often deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also trigger the nerve to be harmed to the point it needs root canal therapy. When this takes place, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it has to be treated, and can not heal on its own. It can even deteriorate the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and may be very uncomfortable. Symptoms that the pulp has actually ended up being infected might consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, pain, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no signs are apparent and the individual is unaware of any problem till a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. When the infection is dealt with, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is suggested for bring back a tooth that has had root canal therapy.
