Requiring any sort of dental work finished can feel like a hassel, however it is essential to follow up on when it pertains to preserving your oral health. When it comes to same day dental crowns that is just not the case, as we can provide our clients with same day dental crowns should they need it.

Although dental crowns are considered along with other treatments that fall under the cosmetic dentistry category, they can help to vastly improve anybody's oral health. Dental crowns are mostly used to fix the size, shape, and function of a tooth. Most typically, dental crowns are used following a root canal therapy procedure in which a portion of the tooth mass is eliminated in order to get rid of decayed parts of the tooth. A dental crown is then used to help restore exactly what parts of the tooth were lost so that it can function as it once did, fixing the oral well being of the client.

Often, dental crowns require time to process and are crafted in a lab while the patient wears a short-term crown in its stead. Now we can provide patients with same day dental crowns! Instead of having to visit us multiple times prior to restoring your tooth, we can offer you with a crown the very same day that you come in to get one fitted.

If you require a dental crown, you will not have to wait and arrange multiple appointments. Our personnel and dentists will supply you with all of the services that you need in a single visit to work around your busy schedule. Do not let your dental health go forgotten because you don't have the time. If you would like to learn more about same day dental crowns, call us and set up an appointment today.

Today's Conversation Will Be About:

Endodontic Treatment (Root Canal)

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is needed when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and find issues early). Sometimes deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also trigger the nerve to be damaged to the point it requires root canal therapy. When this happens, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it must be treated, and can not recover on its own. It can even weaken the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and may be very agonizing. Signs that the pulp has ended up being infected may include sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, discomfort, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Sometimes, however, no symptoms are apparent and the person is unaware of any issue till a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and sanitize the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to extract the tooth. Once the infection is fixed, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any additional infection. Generally a core build-up and crown is suggested for restoring a tooth that has actually had root canal treatment.
