Are you short on time? We provide same day crown restorations! This brand-new innovation permits our personnel to perform a range of dental restorations in just one visit! Same day crown restorations provide your tooth a natural match to the rest of your teeth, and can help to reserve the healthy part of that tooth.

Why a single visit crown instead of a standard one?

Less time in the dental chair (Just one appointment that lasts two hours) half the number of appointments, fewer anesthetics, less tooth structure is lost in many cases, we can make most of the prep work for these crowns without removing too much of your natural tooth.

As soon as the design procedure starts, you are free to move about the office and even have additional dentistry such as fillings. There is about a 20 minute period in the middle of the visit where the crown unit is being made.

Same day crowns are green (environmentally friendly) and are efficient and saves you money. (Fewer products used, & fewer appointments indicate fewer miles driven in your {car|vehicle).

Today's Topic Is:

Endodontic Treatment (Root Canal)

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is needed when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and identify problems early). Sometimes deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also cause the nerve to be damaged to the point it needs root canal treatment. As soon as this happens, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it has to be treated, and can not recover on its own. It can even damage the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and may be really agonizing. Symptoms that the pulp has ended up being infected may consist of sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no signs appear and the person is unaware of any issue up until a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. When the infection is resolved, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Usually a core build-up and crown is recommended for recovering a tooth that has had root canal treatment.
