Same Day Teeth Restorations
CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.
With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.
CEREC can be used for a broad scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint may be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.
Problems in this area can trigger:
- Pain in the jaw muscles.
- Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.
- Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.
- Clicking or popping of the jaw.
Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the issue. If neglected and required to extremes, surgery may be needed to repair a severely damaged joint.
