Temporary crowns and second visits for crowns are now typically unnecessary thanks to the same day crown innovation. We offer this exciting one-visit crown technology in our office, adding greater convenience to the procedure of getting a crown. The waiting time in between your treatment and when you get your long-term crown is eliminated.

The same day crown technology is an instrument that allows ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be carried out in one check-up instead of two. The computer collaborates with a digital camera enabling the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes over and mills your custom crown immediately so that we can cement your new crown that very same day. The results we see are remarkable. With the same day crowns, the fit, strength, and aesthetics of the ceramic restorations are outstanding.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is normally constructed of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures might not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some individuals, dental implants provide a smile that looks very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of appointments, implants connect to the jawbone and act as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability since they connect to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also discover the secure fit is more comfy than conventional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants have to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What Does A Dental Implant Involve?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this procedure, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that occurs when the root of a natural tooth is missing. Once the implant is securely set in the mouth, the dentist then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has a number of advantages. First, there is no modification period to acclimatize the client who, once the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or difficulty in eating. And, best of all, of course, they do not have to be taken out all the time.
