Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns suggested coming into the dentist's office a minimum of two times. The first check-up included getting an impression of your tooth and a temporary crown. Then, a few weeks later, a second check-up permitted the temporary crown to be eliminated and a brand-new permanent crown to be positioned on your tooth. We use the latest innovation making dental work easier for you and your busy schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a cutting edge same day crown technology to create ceramic onlays and crowns that fit just right, in simply one check-up with a little camera to develop a 3D picture of the tooth that has to be repaired. This means a physical mold, which is unpleasant and time consuming, is no longer necessary.

Using CAD/CAM software, We develop a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling device. This innovation can create the brand-new restoration in as little as 15 minutes.

The restoration is adhered to your tooth using a bonding product, and the brand-new addition will match your natural teeth so no one will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today for additional information about same day crowns innovation, and take care of those problems you might have been putting off.

The Topic Of The Day Will Be:

Dental Crowns

A crown (or cap) is a covering that encases the entire tooth surface restoring it to its original sizes and shape. A crown protects and reinforces the tooth structure providing the tooth a longer life span than it would have if restored by fillings or other types of restorations.

Crowns are full coverage restorations that are used to cover a tooth that is likely to break, or is too broken down to be restored with a filling. They are most frequently done after root canal treatments, or when a big filling wears out. The bigger the hole made by a cavity that has to be treated, the more likely a crown will be needed. Even after a filling is put in a big cavity, a tooth is more likely to break. Remember that the jaw muscles are the strongest in the body. Teeth are subjected to remarkable pressures. Crowns ride over the weakened tooth, offering strength and securing the tooth against damage. A broken or cracked tooth is a much more severe matter and a lot more tough to treat. Crowns prevent this, in addition to producing a good smile.

It takes two appointments to recover a tooth with a crown. In the first visit any decay is eliminated from the tooth and it is formed to accept the crown. Then an impression is made of the tooth for use in making a crown. Between the two visits the crown is made, generally of high-strength porcelain over gold alloy, all ceramic material, or gold. A short-term crown is used throughout this time. In the 2nd visit this temporary crown is removed. Then the {permanent crown is adjusted as needed then cemented in place.

What Does Getting A Crown Involve?

A crown procedure normally requires 2 visits. Your very first appointment will include taking impressions that will be used to develop your customized crown. A mold will also be utilized to develop a short-term crown which will remain on your tooth for roughly two weeks till your new crown is fabricated by a dental lab.

While the tooth is numb, the dental practitioner will prepare the tooth by removing any decay and shaping the surface area to properly fit the crown. As soon as these details are accomplished, your temporary crown will be placed with short-term cement and your bite will be checked to ensure you are biting correctly.

At your second appointment your temporary crown will be removed, the tooth will be cleaned, and your brand-new crown will be carefully placed to ensure the spacing and bite are accurate.

You will be given care instructions and encouraged to have routine dental check ups to inspect your crown. As always, proper oral hygiene will help extend the life of your new crown.
