Same Day Crowns - A Smart Technology

We aim to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are taking place in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown technology in our office. It allows us to produce crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental technology, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire treatment takes in between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Typically, a crown in the past would have needed two appointments. The very first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. During the 2nd appointment, the temporary crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the entire procedure can be finished in just one visit. We will use video imaging innovation to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to design the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling device that carves the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a temporary as well as a 2nd visit.

Corrective dentistry treatments can be essential to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide range of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Dentures (Dental)

There are different types of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is examined and a determination is made regarding which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth stay in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal performance and appearance return and one just carries on as usual. Often implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is important to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the kind of food you are able to eat, your confidence in social circumstances, and even your self-esteem.

A Couple Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper complete denture will usually feel much better than a lower complete denture. In order to considerably improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we frequently suggest utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly improve comfort. Often, the implants can even be placed in the jaw after a denture has been in use for numerous years.
