Single Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you need to get a dental crown? Or will you soon be needing a dental procedure that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you might be starting to dread the time you will need to invest at the dental practitioner's office. At our dental practice, we offer a excellent time-saving solution for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have expert and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we include state-of-the-art technology and procedures to provide our patients with the very best restorative, precautionary, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For clients who have to get dental crowns, we are really happy to be able to provide same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is usually made of porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all four sides to help strengthen the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a damaged tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to strengthen a tooth after a root canal procedure.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a severely discolored tooth that has to be restored to its initial, appealing appearance.

Generally getting a dental crown is a prolonged procedure. The dentist will have to take impressions, offer you with a temporary crown, await the crown to be returned from a lab, and after that have you return to the office so that it can be permanently attached. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about two hours.

Our same day crowns are created in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM innovation.

CAD-CAM stands for "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take photos which are then computer-analyzed and used to develop a crown.

This crown is really milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth precisely and remove any need to send out impressions or pictures to an outside lab.

All this is done while you wait, removing the need to come back for a second visit.

You also will not have to get a crown, given that our permanent crown will be immediately offered to you.

If you wish to consult with our dental practitioner to find out more about same day crowns or to obtain a same day crown, contact our office.

Today's Topic Will Be About:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a treatment where we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific situations where a tooth has been broken or ended up being stained. These are typically small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive ways instead of through a more pricey dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a shiny finish as a last step.
