Thanks to ingenious modern innovations, we are proud to introduce the capability to supply you with same day crowns - that's right, a new crown in just one appointment! Here's how it works.

Step 1, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a small camera, a unique camera built just for this purpose.

Step two, the new software evaluates the entire image and uses the results to compute a number of excellent restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are examined and fine-tuned by the doctor and the last restoration plan is picked.

Step three your brand-new crown is milled by the cerec machine right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one appointment!

If you wish to understand more about the same day crown treatment, call our office and we would be more than happy to help you.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide scope of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

The Discussion Of The Day Is:

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) appliance and is an exceptional way to replace missing teeth.

There are multiple types of bridges. We will discuss the best options for your certain case. The "traditional bridge" is the most popular type and is usually made from porcelain fused to metal. These fixed bridges are most popular since they resemble your natural teeth. This kind of bridge includes two crowns that go over two anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) and are attached on either side of the synthetic teeth (pontics), filling the space created by one or more missing teeth.

Dental bridges are extremely resilient and will last years with proper home care; however, they may need to be replaced or re-cemented due to regular wear.

Reasons For Considering A Fixed Bridge:

  • Restore chewing and speaking ability.

  • Maintain facial shape.

  • Fill area of missing teeth.

  • Prevent remaining teeth from drifting out of position.

  • Upgrade from a removable partial denture to a permanent dental appliance.

  • Restore your smile.

What does getting a Fixed Bridge involve?

Getting a bridge typically requires two or more visits. While the teeth are numb, the two anchoring teeth are prepared by removing a portion of enamel to enable a crown. Next, a highly precise impression (mold) is made which will be sent out to a dental laboratory where the bridge will be fabricated. In addition, a short-term bridge will be made and worn for multiple weeks till your next visit.

At the 2nd visit, your permanent bridge will be carefully examined, adjusted, and cemented to achieve a appropriate fit and comfy bite.

You will receive care guidelines at the conclusion of your treatment. Appropriate brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will help in the life of your new permanent bridge.

Why Should You Consider Dental Bridges?

This is an option for filling the area developed by a missing tooth. It is formed to look like the missing tooth, and it takes its place in the mouth. The sides of a bridge uses the two surrounding teeth for support, hence the name. A bridge replaces the missing tooth, both functionally and cosmetically. Bridge work is as much an art as it is an exact science. The materials used might be gold alloys, porcelain bonded to metal alloy, or all ceramic material. The option of material depends on requirements for strength, wear, and/or esthetics.

It is important that a missing tooth be replaced as soon as possible for numerous reasons. If not treated the teeth surrounding the gap begin to move inward, producing an entire chain reaction of bad things. Teeth use their neighbors for assistance, and, with one missing, they start to "fall." As this gets worse the bite changes in reaction to the pressure. This can ultimately result in issues with the whole jaw, e.g. TMJ. The surrounding teeth deteriorate and it is simply a matter of time before they, too, are lost. Gum disease ends up being a serious problem, with the difficulty of treatment increasing as the neglect continues.
