Why Choose Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous benefits of using same day crown over standard crown innovation.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a short-term crown, eliminating significant possible discomfort.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic products of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, appeal, and function, and closely match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain lovely for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Because these fillings are constructed out of porcelain, they are longer lasting than white composite fillings.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are a number of ways to lighten teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will bleach teeth considerably. Since tooth lightening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use multiple techniques: custom made tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the lab fabricates into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of daily use. Three various strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the higher the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is recommended for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely fast and hassle-free lightening procedure. The appointment is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment since it is so simple and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
