At our dental practice we do same day crowns. You may ask, exactly what are same day crowns and what can it provide for me?

It is a 3D system that lets us make porcelain crowns and inlays all in one visit. We have now been using this technology for many years and love it more than ever.

Same day crowns are an in-surgery computer system that allows us to fix broken or missing tooth structures with a ceramic material that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible.

This is done while you are in the practice, in simply one appointment. All ceramic porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers and crowns that look and feel like natural teeth can be made and fitted in a single visit, normally in about an hour.

So what is the procedure?

We scan the opposite teeth and the method the teeth bite together first. We remove the old filling, and degeneration and any thin weak tooth product and scan the readied tooth.

After this we stop working in the mouth and begin working on the computer.

Everybody enjoys seeing the pictures of their teeth and the developing of their brand-new tooth. We make 3D design and this info is sent out to the milling unit.

Everyone asks if this is like 3D printing and yes it is, but the tooth isn't built up layer by layer, it is cut back from a block in the machine, which is much more durable.

The block is then precisely carved to produce your new restoration, which is fantastic.

At last, the custom made crown restoration bonded effortlessly into the tooth, strengthening and sealing it at the same time and then we tidy up!

We need to ensure that you can bite properly, that its smooth and that you can floss.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

Today Were Talking About:

Tooth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a very thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a stunning and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal option in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with most dental restorations, veneers might one day need replacement; however, they are still extremely durable and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, beautiful smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is put over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are generally only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct method typically involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is usually referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy usually involves two visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental laboratory. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a short-term covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory produced veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the treatment is normally less unpleasant. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care guidelines for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and lovely veneers.
