Requiring any kind of dental work finished can seem like a hassel, but it is essential to follow up on when it pertains to maintaining your oral health. Even though dental crowns are considered in addition to other treatments that fall under the cosmetic dentistry classification, they can help to significantly improve any individual's oral health. Dental crowns are mainly used to restore the size, shape, and function of a tooth. Most typically, dental crowns are used following a root canal therapy procedure where a portion of the tooth mass is removed in order to get rid of decayed portions of the tooth. A dental crown is then used to help restore what parts of the tooth were lost so that it can work as it once did, restoring the oral well being of the client.

In some cases, dental crowns take some time to process and are crafted in a laboratory while the client uses a short-term crown in its stead. Now we can provide patients with same day dental crowns! Instead of needing to visit us numerous times prior to restoring your tooth, we can provide you with a crown the same day that you come in to get one fitted.

The Conversation For Today Will Be:

Dentures (Dental)

There are different kinds of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is examined and a decision is made as to which teeth will have to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal functionality and look return and one just continues as usual. Typically implants can be used to further support the dentures.

It is important to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the type of food you are able to eat, your self-confidence in social circumstances, as well as your self-confidence.

A Few Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper full denture will almost always feel better than a lower full denture. In order to dramatically improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we often suggest using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially enhance comfort. Often, the implants can even be positioned in the jaw after a denture has been in use for numerous years.
