Temporary crowns and 2nd visits for crowns are now normally unnecessary thanks to the same day crown innovation. We offer this exciting one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding greater convenience to the process of getting a crown. The waiting time in between your procedure and when you get your permanent crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that allows ceramic restorations (crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays) to be carried out in one check-up instead of 2. The computer coordinates with a digital camera permitting the dentist to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes control and mills your custom-made crown immediately so that we can cement your new crown that same day. The results we see are amazing. With the same day crowns, the strength, aesthetics, and fit of the ceramic restorations are superb.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Subject Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of many clients, there are numerous methods to bleach teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth bleaching system that will bleach teeth considerably. Since tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize multiple techniques: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of everyday use. 3 different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the higher the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and convenient whitening process. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients love this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up might be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays need to be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
