Temporary crowns and 2nd visits for crowns are now usually unnecessary thanks to the same day crown technology. We provide this exciting one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding greater convenience to the process of getting a crown. The waiting time between your procedure and when you get your long-term crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that enables ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be carried out in one visit instead of two. The computer collaborates with a digital camera permitting the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the discomfort of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes control and mills your custom-made crown right away so that we can cement your brand-new crown that same day. The results we see are amazing. With the same day crowns, the strength, aesthetics, and fit of the ceramic restorations are excellent.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad scope of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today's Topic Is About:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of most clients, there are multiple ways to whiten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth lightening system that will lighten teeth dramatically. Because tooth lightening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of methods: custom made tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of everyday use. Three various strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is recommended for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and convenient bleaching procedure. The appointment is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients like this treatment because it is so easy and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
