Why You Should Choose Single Visit Dental Crowns?

There are numerous advantages of using same day crown over traditional crown innovation.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, saving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a temporary crown, eliminating significant potential pain.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic products of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function, and closely match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is stronger than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain stunning for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Because these fillings are constructed of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings.

Today Were Discussing:

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) appliance and is an excellent way to replace missing teeth.

There are a number of types of bridges. We will talk about the best options for your particular case. The "traditional bridge" is the most popular type and is typically made of porcelain fused to metal. These fixed bridges are most popular because they resemble your natural teeth. This kind of bridge consists of 2 crowns that go over two anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) and are connected on either side of the artificial teeth (pontics), filling the space created by one or more missing teeth.

Dental bridges are highly resilient and will last multiple years with correct home care; however, they may have to be replaced or re-cemented due to normal wear.

A Couple Reasons For Getting A Fixed Bridge:

  • Restore chewing and speaking ability.

  • Maintain facial shape.

  • Fill area of missing teeth.

  • Prevent remaining teeth from drifting out of position.

  • Upgrade from a removable partial denture to a permanent dental appliance.

  • Restore your smile.

Exactly what does getting a Fixed Bridge include?

Getting a bridge usually requires two or more visits. While the teeth are numb, the two anchoring teeth are prepared by eliminating a portion of enamel to allow for a crown. Next, a highly precise impression (mold) is made which will be sent out to a dental laboratory where the bridge will be made. In addition, a temporary bridge will be made and worn for a number of weeks till your next visit.

At the second visit, your permanent bridge will be thoroughly checked, adjusted, and cemented to achieve a appropriate fit and comfortable bite.

You will receive care instructions at the conclusion of your treatment. Appropriate brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new permanent bridge.

Why Should You Consider Dental Bridges?

This is an option for filling the space developed by a missing tooth. It is formed to resemble the missing tooth, and it takes its place in the mouth. The sides of a bridge uses the two surrounding teeth for assistance, hence the name. A bridge replaces the missing tooth, both functionally and cosmetically. Bridge work is as much an art as it is an specific science. The materials used might be gold alloys, porcelain bonded to metal alloy, or all ceramic material. The option of material depends on requirements for strength, wear, and/or esthetics.

It is necessary that a missing tooth be replaced as quickly as possible for numerous reasons. If not treated the teeth surrounding the space start to move inward, developing a whole domino effect of bad things. Teeth use their neighbors for support, and, with one missing, they begin to "fall." As this gets worse the bite changes in response to the pressure. This can ultimately result in problems with the entire jaw, e.g. TMJ. The surrounding teeth weaken and it is simply a matter of time before they, too, are lost. Gum disease becomes a severe issue, with the difficulty of treatment enhancing as the neglect continues.
