What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

There are multiple advantages to having treatment with same day crowns over standard, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is carried out in a single visit, you just need to visit the dental practitioner one time, take one day away from your work to have the treatment, instead of the usual 2 or three appointments.

  • Only one anesthetic injections, given that the entire procedure can be carried out within an hour you just need to have one injection.

  • Your dental practitioner is in complete control of the outcome, since the crown or inlay are designed and made from start to finish by your dental practitioner, they have total control over how it will look and fit.

  • No short-term restorations, which can often fall off in between visits if they are not looked after correctly.

We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. The Topic Of The Day Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Finding issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are primarily used to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Big on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has significantly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the doctor to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for much easier detection of issues, all while decreasing the radiation exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
