Temporary crowns and 2nd visits for crowns are now normally unnecessary thanks to the same day crown innovation. We offer this amazing one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding greater convenience to the process of getting a crown. The waiting time in between your treatment and when you get your permanent crown is eliminated.

The same day crown technology is an instrument that enables ceramic restorations (crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays) to be performed in one check-up instead of 2. The computer coordinates with a wireless digital camera permitting the dentist to make digital impressions without the annoyance of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes control and mills your custom-made crown right away so that we can cement your brand-new crown that very same day. The results we see are incredible. With the same day crowns, the strength, aesthetics, and fit of the ceramic restorations are superb.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today's Discussion Is About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Spotting problems with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, costly treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mostly used to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Huge on-screen X-rays make patient communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has significantly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the physician to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a huge format for easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also enables us to send out and get your images digitally for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
