Same day crowns are an innovative dental technology that is used for the restoration of decayed, broken, or chipped teeth. This technology can develop complete crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown device crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made of compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are stronger than lab restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most useful feature of getting a same day crown restoration is that it is achieved in one visit. In addition to the benefit of a one appointment restoration, there is no uncomfortable impression product to bite on or a temporary crown to wear.

The treatment for positioning of a same day crown restoration is very easy. The initial step is to remove all decay from the tooth. The dentist will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital image. The tooth is then sprayed with a extremely fine powder. This allows the digital camera to take an appropriate image. Once this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will permit the dental practitioner to develop the restoration right in front of you.

Once the design is finished, the same day crown machine will mill the restoration. This step takes around 15 minutes. You can actually view this procedure if you would like. When the restoration is finished milling, the dental practitioner will position the restoration on your tooth.

Today's Conversation Will Be About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Finding issues with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Big on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the doctor to see pictures of the teeth in greater resolution on a large format for easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also enables us to send out and get your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
