How Can Same Day Crowns Benefit Me?

With this new technology it permits dental practitioners to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can make natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers here in our office while you relax. Now, there is no longer a need to make multiple appointments to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with short-term restorations - you can take pleasure in a brilliant, natural looking, and long lasting option for your missing or broken teeth today.

First, your dentist will consult with you to go over the information of the procedure. Throughout the treatment, the dental practitioner will put a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special camera to take a picture of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the photo acts as a map to develop your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to develop your restoration piece from ceramic.

Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth stronger and more beautiful - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the state-of-the-art ceramic product is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a broad scope of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Today's Subject Is:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Spotting problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mainly utilized to identify:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Huge on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has significantly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the physician to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images digitally for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
