At our dental practice we do same day crowns. You may ask, exactly what are same day crowns and exactly what can it do for me?

It is a 3D system that lets us make porcelain crowns and inlays all in one visit. We have now been using this technology for multiple years and like it more than ever.

Same day crowns are an in-surgery computer system that permits us to fix damaged or missing tooth structures with a ceramic product that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible.

This is done while you are in the practice, in just one visit. All ceramic porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers and crowns that look like natural teeth can be made and placed in a single appointment, typically in about an hour.

So exactly what is the treatment?

We scan the opposite teeth and the method the teeth bite together first. We remove the old filling, and degeneration and any thin weak tooth product and scan the readied tooth.

After this we quit working in the mouth and start working with the computer.

Everybody likes seeing the pictures of their teeth and the developing of their brand-new tooth. We make 3D design and this info is sent to the milling system.

Everyone asks if this is like 3D printing and yes it is, but the tooth isn't developed layer by layer, it is cut back from a block in the device, which is much stronger.

The block is then precisely sculpted to produce your new restoration, which is wonderful.

At last, the customized crown restoration bonded seamlessly into the tooth, reinforcing and sealing it at the same time and then we tidy up!

We need to make sure that you can bite properly, that its smooth and that you can floss.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Porcelain Tooth Veneers

Veneers are a very thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a beautiful and appealing smile.

Veneers can completely improve your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to the majority of dental restorations, veneers may at some point require replacement; however, they are still really durable and will last multiple years, providing you a long lasting, stunning smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or grinning. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique generally involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is usually referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique usually involves two visits because the veneers will be made at a dental lab. At the very first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a short-term covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory fabricated veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is removed, and the procedure is generally less unpleasant. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care guidelines for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your new and beautiful veneers.
