Same Day Crowns With Advanced Technology

We aim to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown technology in our office. It enables us to develop crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental innovation, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire procedure takes between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Generally, a crown in the past would have needed 2 visits. The very first visit consists of preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. During the 2nd visit, the short-term crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the whole treatment can be completed in simply one visit. We will use video imaging technology to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to design the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transmitted to a milling machine that carves the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to wear a temporary in addition to a second visit.

Corrective dentistry procedures can be very important to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Topic Is About:

Dentures (Dental)

There are various types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is examined and a determination is made regarding which teeth will need to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal performance and look return and one simply continues as usual. Typically implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is important to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the kind of food you have the ability to eat, your self-esteem in social circumstances, as well as your self-confidence.

Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper complete denture will often feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to drastically improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we often recommend using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and considerably enhance comfort. In some cases, the implants can even be positioned in the jaw after a denture has been in use for multiple years.
