Although dental crowns are considered in addition to other procedures that fall under the cosmetic dentistry classification, they can help to significantly improve anybody's oral health. Most typically, dental crowns are used following a root canal therapy treatment where a part of the tooth mass is eliminated in order to get rid of decayed portions of the tooth. A dental crown is then used to help restore exactly what parts of the tooth were lost so that it can function as it once did, fixing the oral well being of the client.

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in specific situations where a tooth has actually been broken or ended up being stained. These are normally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive means rather than through a more pricey dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the positioning of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a glossy finish as a last step.
