Why Choose Same Day Dental Crowns?

There are numerous benefits of one day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, conserving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a short-term crown, which removes significant potential pain and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions means no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new innovation restores your teeth to their natural durability, charm, and function and carefully match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is stronger than the traditional method of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain gorgeous for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury consisting of silver fillings and tougher because of bonding technology.

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a treatment in which we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in specific scenarios where a tooth has actually been damaged or ended up being stained. These are normally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive means rather than through a more costly dental procedure.

How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the positioning of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a shiny finish as a last step.
