Why Are They Called Same Day Crowns?

This advanced innovation permits your dentist to take precise pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns offer unparalleled benefits, value, and precision to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure includes three basic steps. First, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take extremely accurate pictures of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, she downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, designs your custom-fitted crown. Third, your dentist will send the design to their in-office accuracy milling machine which produces the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for added strength and esthetics, your dentist will position it on your tooth.

What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We only use dental porcelain and zirconia to produce our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide incomparable toughness, resilience, chip and stain resistance, and natural charm.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and protect more of your tooth structure.

Conventional crowns require 2 office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a wonderfully restored tooth.

You can prevent the trouble and potential threats related to ill-fitting short-term crowns.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of most patients, there are a number of methods to whiten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth whitening system that will bleach teeth considerably. Since tooth whitening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous techniques: custom made tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into custom vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of daily use. 3 various strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the higher the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and convenient whitening process. The visit is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays ought to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
