Thanks to innovative modern technologies, we are proud to present the ability to supply you with same day crowns - that's right, a new crown in just one visit! Here's how it works.

Step One, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a little camera, a special camera built just for this purpose.

Step 2, the new software assesses the whole image and uses the results to determine a variety of exceptional restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are examined and improved by the dentist and the final restoration strategy is selected.

Finally your new crown is made by the cerec device right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one visit!

If you wish to know more about the same day crown treatment, call our office and we would be more than happy to assist you.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full range of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a lovely and appealing smile.

Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like many dental restorations, veneers might at some point require replacement; however, they are still extremely durable and will last years, giving you a long lasting, lovely smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct technique typically involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect method typically involves two visits because the veneers will be fabricated at a dental laboratory. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory produced veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is generally less uncomfortable. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have big fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care instructions for your veneers. Proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your brand-new and lovely veneers.
