Same Day Dental Crowns With Advanced Technology

We aim to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It permits us to produce crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most advanced dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole treatment takes between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Usually, a crown in the past would have required 2 appointments. The first visit includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. Throughout the 2nd appointment, the temporary crown is replaced with the permanent one. With a same day crown, the entire procedure can be finished in just one appointment. We will use video imaging innovation to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM innovation to design the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling device that sculpts the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to wear a temporary along with a 2nd appointment.

Corrective dentistry procedures can be crucial to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a consultation.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide range of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

Today Were Talking About:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in certain scenarios where a tooth has actually been broken or become stained. These are normally minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive methods instead of through a more expensive dental procedure.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
