Same Day Crowns At A Family Dentist Near You

Same Day Crowns innovation has changed how dental treatments will be done forever. If crowns, onlays, inlays or dental veneers were required to fix broken teeth, it used to imply numerous visits, a lot of inconvenience, and typically a lot of money.

This brand-new technology makes these ceramic restorations within minutes in the dental office. It is comprised of numerous computer-assisted design (CAD) tools and a milling machine that creates custom-made ceramic restorative devices. It also can make practically any ceramic restoration to order, indicating the dentist can place it immediately. This is of great benefit to a worried client, and it can also reduce the expense of treatment.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, sometimes extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If neglected and required to extremes, surgery may be required to fix a terribly damaged joint.
