Same day crowns
In the past, getting dental crowns meant coming into the dentist's office a minimum of two times. The very first check-up involved getting an impression of your tooth and a short-term crown. Then, a few weeks later, a 2nd visit enabled the short-term crown to be eliminated and a brand-new long-term crown to be put on your tooth. We use the latest innovation to make dental work easier for you and your busy schedule, with same day crowns.

Getting Dental Crowns
We are proud to use a state-of-the-art same day crown technology to create ceramic onlays and crowns that fit perfectly, in just one check-up with a little camera to produce a 3D image of the tooth that has to be fixed. This means a physical mold, which is unpleasant and time consuming, is no longer necessary.

Using CAD/CAM software, We create a perfectly fitting restoration using an on-site milling device. This technology can produce the brand-new restoration in as little as 15 minutes.

The restoration is connected to your tooth using a bonding material, and the brand-new addition will match your natural teeth so nobody will ever know you had a repair.

Call us today to find out more about same day crowns technology, and take care of those issues you may have been putting off.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full scope of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Today's Subject Is:

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint might be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, sometimes extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouth piece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If untreated and required to extremes, surgery might be needed to fix a badly damaged joint.
