The Benefits Of Getting Single Visit Crowns Are:

  • It is time-saving. It allows you to have your dental crown put in place in simply one dental appointment.

  • Its material is biocompatible. Same day crowns use ceramic which mimics the look of your natural teeth therefore making it aesthetically pleasing. It does not trigger temperature sensitivity which is true when it comes to dental crowns made from metals.

  • It is durable. Same day crowns have the same toughness as those made from gold materials.

  • It is more accurate. The impression made from this brand-new technology is more precise as compared to traditional impressions.

  • Taking dental impression is more comfortable. Same day crowns use intraoral camera and CAD to take the impression of the tooth while standard dental impression is done using sodium alignate.

The only disadvantage of a same day crown is that not all clients are candidates for this procedure. Clients with extensive tooth damage that has actually reached the gum line needs a standard crown rather than a same day crown. Also, the damage in the front tooth requires a laboratory-manufactured crown because they are meticulously made than same day crowns.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of a lot of clients, there are multiple methods to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth bleaching system that will whiten teeth significantly. Since tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is very important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use numerous approaches: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the higher the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take multiple months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and practical lightening procedure. The visit is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment due to the fact that it is so simple and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays should be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
