WHEN IS DENTIST DAY
WELLINGTON SOUTH DAKOTA

Updated On Friday, October 19, 2018 04:27:44 AM

If you have a fractured or busted tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperature levels, or want to get rid of unattractive metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a great option for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface of the affected tooth, adding durability and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are an option that we offer on a case by case basis to patients who would benefit from the treatment. They enable patients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their final dental crown in place that same day. This gets rid of the need to have a short-term crown placed then another appointment arranged for the placement of the permanent crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our brand-new technology that scans the mouth to get the proper measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are very strong and long lasting and made out of the highest quality porcelain available. In some cases, a gold crown might be advised for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may differ between the two and you might wish to discuss your budget plan as well with the your dentist. Your dental practitioner will discuss with you the types of crowns available and offer you a recommendation based on your certain circumstance.

Call us to schedule a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. The Conversation For Today Will Be:

UltraSonic Tooth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for most adult dental cleanings. These devices utilize ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners develop tiny bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, killing microorganisms and removing plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help maintain optimal gingival health.

  • The procedure only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can get rid of tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling typically uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is hardly perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning ideal to those with vulnerable teeth.

  • The cleaning procedure is quicker than manual scaling making your visit more comfortable.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits and then polished.
