One Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you have to get a dental crown? Or will you quickly be requiring a dental treatment that will cause you to require a dental crown? If so, you may be starting to dread the time you will have to spend at the dental practitioner's office. At our dental practice, we provide a fantastic time-saving solution for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have expert and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we incorporate advanced technology and procedures to offer our clients with the best restorative, precautionary, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For patients who have to get dental crowns, we are extremely pleased to be able to offer same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is generally made from porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all 4 sides to help strengthen the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top portion of a dental implant, or to prevent a broken tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to reinforce a tooth after a root canal treatment.

Crowns are also used for purely visual reasons, such as to cover a severely tarnished tooth that needs to be restored to its initial, attractive look.

Generally getting a dental crown is a prolonged procedure. The dentist will need to take impressions, provide you with a temporary crown, await the crown to be returned from a lab, and after that have you come back to the office so that it can be permanently attached. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about 2 hours.

Our same day crowns are created in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM innovation.

CAD-CAM stands for "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take pictures which are then computer-analyzed and used to produce a crown.

This crown is really milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth precisely and get rid of any need to send impressions or pictures to an outside lab.

All this is done while you wait, removing the need to come back for a second appointment.

You also will not need to get a temporary crown, given that our permanent crown will be instantly available to you.

Today's Subject Is:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we apply a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific situations where a tooth has been damaged or ended up being stained. These are typically small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably affordable methods rather than through a more expensive dental procedure.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
