At our dental practice we do same day crowns. You may ask, exactly what are same day crowns and what can it provide for me?

It is a 3D system that lets us make porcelain crowns and inlays all in one visit. We have now been using this innovation for many years and love it more than ever.

Same day crowns are an in-surgery computer system that permits us to fix broken or missing tooth structures with a ceramic product that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible.

This is done while you remain in the practice, in just one visit. All ceramic porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers and crowns that feel and look like natural teeth can be made and fitted in a single visit, generally in about an hour.

So what is the treatment?

We scan the opposite teeth and the way the teeth bite together first. We remove the old filling, and degeneration and any thin weak tooth material and scan the prepared tooth.

After this we stop working in the mouth and begin working on the computer.

Everyone enjoys seeing the pictures of their teeth and the developing of their new tooth. We make 3D design and this info is sent to the milling unit.

Everybody asks if this is like 3D printing and yes it is, but the tooth is not built up layer by layer, it is cut back from a block in the device, which is much more durable.

The block is then exactly sculpted to produce your brand-new restoration, which is great.

At last, the custom made crown restoration bonded flawlessly into the tooth, reinforcing and sealing it at the same time then we tidy up!

We need to make certain that you can bite correctly, that its smooth and that you can floss.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of many clients, there are a number of methods to lighten teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will bleach teeth dramatically. Since tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the freshly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous approaches: custom made tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of daily use. 3 different strengths of gel might be used, however, the greater the strength, the higher the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and convenient lightening procedure. The visit is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients enjoy this treatment since it is so easy and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays ought to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
