Why Choose Same Day Dental Crowns?

There are many benefits of single visit crowns over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, which eliminates significant potential pain and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No standard impressions which means there is no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new technology restores your teeth to their natural durability, beauty, and function and closely match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay gorgeous for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Since they are constructed of porcelain, they are more durable than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury consisting of silver fillings and tougher because of bonding technology.

If you have anymore questions about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please don't hesitate to contact our office today. We will address any concerns you have and you can make an appointment to speak with our dentist personally.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a treatment in which we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be utilized in certain scenarios where a tooth has actually been damaged or become stained. These are typically minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this relatively inexpensive means instead of through a more costly dental treatment.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a glossy finish as a last step.
